Centre for Strategic Research at the President of the Republic of Tajikistan is a specialized state scientific - research organization.
Centre for Strategic Research at the President of the Republic of Tajikistan is founded in 1994 on the basis of the Institute of Economic Research of the former Ministry of Economics.
Main tasks of the Centre for Strategic Research at the President of the Republic of Tajikistan are:
- conducting research on the problems of ensuring security and strategic
interests of the Republic of Tajikistan;
- working out strategies of political and socio - economical development
of the Republic of Tajikistan;
- determining priorities and monitoring economic and legal reforms;
- creating mechanisms of settling regional problems through collaboration in the sphere of economics, ecology and demography;
- analyzing and forecasting socio - political, economic and spiritual - cultural processes in Tajikistan;
- studying problems on ethnopolitical processes;
- monitoring and forecasting demography and migration situations;
- investigating problems of economic security, energy and food security and safeness of a man;
- studying strategic aspects of international relations;
- analyzing effectiveness of international aid, investment use and participation of foreign capital in national economy;
- analyzing activities of state powers, political parties, religious and public organizations and institutions of civil society;
- researching problems of innovation performance of branches of national economy;
- examining projects of the state programs, conceptions and important normative documents and governmental decisions.
The results of researches made in the Centre for Strategic Research are applied by Executive Apparatus of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Security Council of the country.
Centre for Strategic Research at the President of the RT interacts with the organs of governmental power, international organizations, various foundations and public unions.
Starting from 2002 the Centre for Strategic Research at the President of the Republic of Tajikistan places its materials and publication on its own Internet site. The Centre publishes its Herald titled "Economics, Policy, Security".
